Raymie Braud was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1975. He spent much of his childhood between his aunt and uncle's house in Metairie and his paternal grandmother's in Gramercy. Raymie's father passed away when he was just 14 months old, leading to his move to California at age 4. Throughout his life, Raymie has learned a variety of skills including carpentry, farming, and jewelry making, which he has used in his personal and professional life.

In September 1994, Raymie met Anne and they soon started their unconventional courtship. They enjoy attending concerts and music festivals, collecting memorabilia to commemorate each event. In 2004, they joined the Society for Creative Anachronisms where Raymie began making beginner garb for people attending reenactment events. In 2017, Raymie opened his pop-up business, Raymie's Relics, selling hand-made jewelry and other goods catering to the pagan community. In 2022, Raymie and Anne made the decision to move back to Louisiana, where they now reside.
